Rocks breaking apart and forming deep cracks within, until they separate into multiple individual pieces, has inspired Branching. I am drawing parallels to the forming of our identities as people; starting as a family unity, a core and resuming to each follow our unique path.
Like Reminisce and Monolith the surfaces are mainly matt but the cut edges reveal the layers of colour and clear glass and two shapes appear to be floating within each other when looking into the pieces.
The five ‘Branches’ remain connected and are sold as one piece and should be displayed in a specific order. Similar installations can be commissioned to suit client specifications.
